It seems that with all the hysteria and hype surrounding gold, our email boxes are being flooded with mail about the next "hot Gold stock". Arguably, some are very "hot" and others are "not". One of my more regular and enthusiastic members, Michael K. sent me an email alerting me to a Gold play that I had never heard of: Constitution Mining Corporation (CMIN). On its face, it is no different than most gold plays. CMIN has 2 gold fields (in their case the Gold Sands Region of Northeastern Peru) that, according to the company, has proven reserves of over 72... »
Here is the link to my writeup on LGDI:
I have been high on LGDI ever since I first blogged it in early September. I still can't understand why it is only trading for around 85 cents.

NO premarket orders, but take a look at this one!

I actually stole this link from Peter King, Senior Correspondent for Sports Illustrated. He posted this link in his Monday column....great column, by the way....well worth reading.
It has been many years since Saturday Night Live was relevant to me, but they still can come up with some funny bits. Watch this and enjoy. A little , sophomoric bathroom humor never... »
Just a quick heads up on one of my favorite stocks: Legend International Holdings, Inc. (LGDI). I blogged it back on September 14th when it was at 60 cents.......good timing on my part because it ZOOMED to $1.11 in just a week after I blogged it. I believe the setup is very similar and a short-term bounce is possible.
I love... »
I spent hours every day looking through stock screens searching for companies that I can share with my readers and members that I believe present "profit opportunities". I could be looking for a stock to fall or rise. When I select it, I try to do the underlying research and then do the chart analysis so my readers can make... »
e.Digital Corporation comes courtesy of Dean F. (Who I think must work for the company or its investment bankers). When I first did a blog on EDIG back a few months ago (read it Here), he sent me a sharply worded email basically telling me that I was an idiot and didn't know a thing about EDIG. He may be right about the "idiot" part, but I do know something about EDIG. That something I know is that it is hard to get a read on EDIG. They are, ostensibly, a manufacturer of flight entertainment systems for airlines around the world. ... »
I have got a very long list of picks that my members have sent me and I will try and get through some of them over the next few days. Some are laughable, some are laudable, but all get looked at by me. But, not all make my blog. I get all kinds of stories...of course the ones that I like best are the ones where someone has profited from one of my picks. The thing I never forget is that when I read your emails is that there are PEOPLE behind them. I consider it a privilege to serve my members! Enough... »
I am not sure why banks are showing up on my stock screens so much lately, but this has been three in the last two weeks. I have profiled the large money center banks in the past (C and BAC), but I believe that greater opportunity (and greater risk) lies with the smaller regional banks. Today's screen uncovered Pacific Capital Bancorp (NasdaqGS: PCBC), a regional bank with a geographic focus on the Central Coast of California. That means San Luis Obispo (home of the greatest University in the world, my alma mater: Cal Poly San Luis Obispo), Santa Barbara and other... »
Regional Banks seem to be the leaders in bank failures today. Their regionalization can sometimes be the reason they fail at a higher rate than other banks. Today's blog subject is no different: Synovus Financial, Inc. (SNV). I am not a bank analyst....I am a chart guy. The only reason I am bringing up SNV is because they have a chart that looks interesting to me. SNV describes itself as a financial services holding company with approximately $34 billion in assets based in Columbus, Georgia. SNV provides commercial and retail banking, as well as investment services, to customers through 30 banks, 332... »
My Dad sends me emails all the time....political stuff, jokes, spiritual sayings. It is all fun stuff....what else is Dad going to do with his retirement? Today, he sent me a video that was just plain "fun". It actually turns out to be an advertisement for VW. That's O.K. by me...I love VW's. I owned a 2000 Passat wagon and it was one of the best cars I have ever owned. Enough talking....enjoy ... »
