I have got a very long list of picks that my members have sent me and I will try and get through some of them over the next few days. Some are laughable, some are laudable, but all get looked at by me. But, not all make my blog.
I get all kinds of stories…of course the ones that I like best are the ones where someone has profited from one of my picks. The thing I never forget is that when I read your emails is that there are PEOPLE behind them.
I consider it a privilege to serve my members!
Enough talk….on to the picks. Mohammed M. sent me a stock to take a look at last week that has really piqued my curiosity: Total Nutraceutical Solutions, Inc. (TNUS). The stock is thinly traded even after it went ballistic earlier in October. It isn’t showing any income to date and it has limited financial resources according to its latest 10-Q. However, the good news is that it DOES have financial resources.
Let’s talk about the good stuff: It has a really slick website (which is a prerequisite in this market niche), it has some interesting PR’s about the efficacy of their products and their potential to cure everything from the common cold to cancer (jk….but, typical of the nutraceutical market they claim tremendous health benefits) and they have products that are ready to ship.
TNUS describes itself as having “partnered with researchers around the world in its effort to develop mushroom-based nutritional supplements that can provide the optimum aid in promoting good health for humans and animals.“ When I think of mushrooms I usually am thinking about them fried with my steak, but if there are significant nutritional benefits in mushrooms I am all for it.
The “bad stuff” centers more around WHEN will they begin to show income, how can they make room for themselves in the crowded nutraceutical market, how big is their potential market, when are we going to see them on the Home Shopping Network? (j/k on that last one)
The chart presents a very interesting contrast. The stock was a 2-day supernova in October, but since then investors have gradually lost interest. I am sure that there are a number of traders still in the stock and underwater whose sell orders are driving the stock down. However, I would not be surprised if another supernova could happen with this stock.
Let’s look at the chart:
Stock trading is both and art and science. I may highlight a stock, do great analysis and expect the stock to fly….and, it does nothing. I don’t control timing. Watch stocks like TNUS closely, monitor the boards and news….I have a good feeling about TNUS (of course, I had a good feeling about the Phillies in the World Series, too)
I have a call in to the company to get some of my questions answered. I will update my post when I have some more info.
Good luck and good trading
