Shares of Oryon Technologies Inc. (PINK: ORYN), a developer and manufacturer of next-generation electroluminescent (EL) lighting technology, rose sharply in Tuesday’s trading session.
The penny stock of ORYN ended the day 4.35% higher at $0.960, with volume up from daily average of 1.36 million to 1.66 million. The stock gained 6.79% in the last three trading sessions.
Earlier this month, ORYN provided details on its Elastolite®, which enables thin, flexible, crushable, water-resistant lighting systems to be incorporated into multiple applications such as safety apparel, sporting goods, consumer goods and membrane switches, among others.
ORYN said that its Elastolite is a 3-part system, which includes of a lamp fabricated as a micro-thin film. Tom Schaeffer, CEO of Oryon Technologies, said this month that the technology has generated tremendous interest in the recent past.
